Did you know... Fuss It Up! Designs hosts great parties? Birthdays, special events, girl scouts,  church groups, reunions, etc. All ages welcome!!! Fun, flirty & fabulous! Parties are twice as fun at Fuss It Up! Designs!   A paint party includes everything needed for party guests  to complete a small mixed media collage  canvas ready to hang on the wall!   Prices are $35 per guest for 6 or less and  $30 per guest for 7 or more up to 12.   Larger parties are $25 per guest with an additional studio fee.   Parties take about an hour and  15 minutes... please call for specifics! Happy Friday Bloggers! Last week came and went without me even knowing what day it was!   With the start of the fabulous Valley Junction Farmer's Market on Thursday nights and the planning of my son's graduation party... I missed Paint Party Friday ... But not today! So this week I went back to my love of nature, music and collage.  I've done very large mixed media collage paintings with this little page of music from an old hymnal... but today it finds it's home on two hand made bird houses! I simply began by tearing the paper and applying it with a glue medium.  I imagine two little love birds moving in and starting a family here! Wouldn't it be great if our houses could be infused with music the way these are! For my next step I add white and some marks...  As sweet as the white looks, I always go for color... lots of color!  Stenciled dots... and flowers... and bright fluorescent pink and green!...

Today's post is all about saying "thank you" ! Thank you to all the people who help make Fuss It Up! Designs a place where art is fun, flirty and fabulous! To all who faithfully show up to events... who bring friends and family who browse and buy... who take classes and have parties... and who dream dreams and share in my dreams! Thank you to all the fellow artists who keep creating fabulous things...  like these amazing little sculptures by Abigail Livingood of Cornstalk Studio! And these delicious kids creations... by artist Toni Lampley of Good Sugar Art! This past weekend we had our  Celebrate Creativity... Celebrate YOU event.   Thank you everyone for coming! I feel very blessed today to be sitting in my local Starbucks enjoying a nice hot cup of coffee.  We had quite the storm last night and several of the stores in Valley Junction sustained  a lot of damage.  My little boutique & art studio has only suffered a wet floor, which will dry, and no other damage to anything!   I am blessed! Happy Saturday!  Today the studio is buzzing with excitement... at least for me!  These works in progress are finally getting stretched! As in every project, the right tools make all the difference... like a corner vice to help hold the perfectly cut corners of the stretcher bars in place...  and wood glue, a hammer and something to wipe the  extra glue... and this little baby... which is just the right size for my small hands!   It will be good to finish up these paintings in time for the first open Gallery Night   of the year in  Historic Valley Junction ... which is just one  week away!
