Happy Thursday Bloggers!  About this time  two years ago I had just begun my painting adventure with artist   Flora Bowley   and her  Bloom True Workshop .   I absolutely love the experience I had and still use it for inspiration today!  If you have a chance to take this workshop or get her book, Brave Intuitive Painting , (available in my Awesome Books bookshop to the right--->) I highly recommend it.  Now, in the tradition of #throwbackthursday,  here is my post from the second week of  the Bloom True Workshop (originally posted 2/11/12)...  with the addition of my finished paintings! I had a fabulous paint day in the studio today!  I began my second assignment (first lesson  here ) in the  Bloom True Workshop  by Flora Bowley  and love what happened. Dreaming...  always one of my favorite things to do! I recently had the chance to put a show together  and I decided this piece was to be my  inspiration piece for the whole show. Interestingly enough, it was not finished at the time.   If you remember, I've been working on this and showing bits  and pieces of this for quite some time...  unfinished as it was. I've sold cards and prints, even had offers for the painting.   But deep down inside, like only an artist knows, it wasn't yet  time for us to part ways.   Something told me I still had work to do! This is the way it's looked for a little over a year.  I loved it... but still wanted it to say more. So while planning the show, it made perfect sense  to end with and build the show around this painting.    The name of my show is called "Evolution of a Dream", and it takes the viewer along a 5 year journe...

by LolaBird There are just days when I am in a haze... trying to break thru,  think I don't know what to do. Then I remember,  just in time... there is no spot where I am blind. I have the  answers in my mind.   If I just tune in and believe the song... my troubles melt away, suddenly they're gone! {dot dot dot paint the spot... bright happy colors sad I am not!}

It's Friday once again and the paint has been flowing! A few posts ago I blogged about painting three canvases that were not stretched yet but stapled to the wall.  I finally got them stretched and got to work on them again! Of course I added some drips and dots... and color and contrast! I found hearts and circles... and a few things with wings! I had so much fun but didn't have a lot of time... now I can hardly wait to paint  more tomorrow!
